Brian's work spans some of the most ambitious and unconventional developments in Edgemoor's portfolio, including engagements that began long before a project had a name. Here is a closer look at a few of the key projects that he has led.
PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Fuse at Mason Square
345,000 SF | Higher Ed / Innovation | Arlington, VA
When Amazon announced HQ2 in Northern Virginia, Virginia committed to producing 25,000 new tech graduates by 2039. As the state's largest public university, George Mason was expected to deliver a significant share, which meant they needed more faculty, more research space, and industry partners who wanted to be close to the work.
They didn't just need a building, they needed an ecosystem where education, research, and private enterprise could operate side by side in ways no traditional academic or office facility could support.
What they needed didn't exist yet, so Brian and the Edgemoor team partnered with the university to help bring it to life, leading the development effort, closing financing, and breaking ground in the middle of COVID, and delivering on time and on budget. And the work didn't end there. Edgemoor continues to operate the asset on behalf of investors, managing leasing and operations while curating the activations that bring the building to life as the ecosystem it was designed to be.
