Brian's work often starts before a project has been formally defined. He likes getting involved early, understanding what a client is really trying to accomplish, and helping them find the best path to get there.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

Fuse at Mason Square

345,000 SF | Higher Ed / Innovation | Arlington, VA

Built for Collision.

When Amazon announced HQ2 in Northern Virginia, Virginia committed to producing 25,000 new tech graduates by 2039. As the state's largest public university, George Mason was expected to deliver a significant share, which meant they needed more faculty, more research space, and industry partners who wanted to be close to the work.

They didn't just need a building, they needed an ecosystem where education, research, and private enterprise could operate side by side in ways no traditional academic or office facility could support.

What they needed didn't exist yet, so Brian Naumick and the Edgemoor team designed it from scratch and led the entire effort — closing financing and breaking ground in the middle of COVID, and delivering on time and on budget.

By the Numbers:

● Delivered on time and on budget (through COVID)
● First-of-its-kind innovation building in the Northern Virginia market
● LEED Platinum | Net-Zero Energy Ready

We are not just breaking ground on a building — we are truly breaking ground on
