No one builds a building to build a building. There's always some bigger motivation or bigger purpose."

OFFICIAL BIOGRAPGHY
Donald Gibson brings more than two decades of experience across architecture, construction, and real estate development, with a focus on civic and institutional projects where accountability, coordination, and long-term performance are paramount.
As a Partner at Edgemoor Infrastructure & Real Estate, Donald helps public and institutional clients structure and deliver complex facilities through fully integrated development approaches. His work often begins during procurement and strategy formation — aligning delivery models, financial frameworks, and stakeholder expectations before the first shovel hits the ground.
Throughout his career, Donald has played key roles in the execution of large-scale federal and civic facilities across the Mid-Atlantic region. His experience includes involvement in the 1.75 million square foot Washington Headquarters Services BRAC 133 complex in Alexandria, the 1.2 million square foot U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters at St. Elizabeths in Washington, DC, and the East Campus Building 2 expansion at Fort Meade. These mission-critical environments required precision coordination across agencies, security protocols, and multidisciplinary teams operating at significant scale.
At Edgemoor, Donald has led initiatives such as the Howard County Circuit Courthouse and the University of Nevada, Reno Mathewson Gateway — projects that demonstrate how disciplined procurement, integrated delivery, and long-term operational planning can accelerate timelines while protecting public value.
His approach is steady and comprehensive: align early, manage risk proactively, and ensure facilities function as intended not just on opening day, but for decades to come.
Donald holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a B.S. in Engineering from The Ohio State University. He remains active in the Urban Land Institute and contributes to industry conversations around procurement strategy and alternative delivery models.
